Anyone over 18 whose face is marked by deep wrinkles and furrows.
It is always recommended to first discuss with the doctor all the options available among the different techniques and materials in order to clarify every doubt and get the best result possible.
SAFETY
EVERY medical treatment must be performed in medical or surgical ambulatory care facilities, in full respect of hygienic norms, and this one is no exception. The facility must be equipped to face possible (rare but dangerous) reactions to the treatment itself, and all its sanitary authorizations should be prominently displayed and verifiable.
Make sure what kind and how much of the substance is going to be used asking the doctor anything you need to know.
DO NOT TRUST (!) anyone who performs medical procedures in inadequate facilities (if it is no emergency as in case of first aid).
DESCRIPTION OF THE PROCEDURE
Each ambulatory session consists in local microinjections of fillers (Hyaluronic acid, Collagen, Polylactic acid and many others) in the areas to be treated.
In my opinion the best results are achieved within the glabellar area (between the eyebrows) and the "lower face" area (low part of the face), especially the nasolabial folds (nasogenian wrinkles).
During the treatment the patient will experience pain within the treated areas which can be compared to an intense burning sensation that quickly goes away. It is therefore up to the patient to undergo the treatment under local anaesthesia (injection) or after topical application of creams containing anaesthetic substances (which however must be applied at least 30-40 minutes before starting the treatment in order to let the cream have enough time to be absorbed by the skin and be effective) or even without anaesthesia.
DURATION AND REPEATABILITY
At the end of the treatment the treated area may become a little reddish/swollen, but it usually gets back to normal after a few hours. It is also possible to experience a very slight ecchymosis (bruises) within the same area that will go away in 2-7 days, depending on the patient's predisposition.
The treatment immediately brings about the desired effect, a little in excess in the first 24-48 hours due to a slight local edema (swelling), and usually lasts from 3 up to 6 months, depending on the patient's predisposition. In the "luckiest" (and rare) cases it can last up to 1 year.
COSTS
Considering the wide range of prices of the substance used, the expenses to manage an adequate facility and of course the amount of the substance used, this treatment can cost from 400€ up to 800€.
